Teachers are known as academic parents of a child. They enlighten the learner’s mind with knowledge and wisdom. Teaching is a noble profession and teaching jobs in India are prospective. It has different branches of specialization. This commences from kindergarten teachers, lower class, higher class, college lecturers, and then comes specialized skilled teachers who are experts in specific areas such as medicine, arts, literature, and so on. A teacher must have supple mentality, confidence and ability to make learners understand. Basic academic requirements for a teacher to begin career in teaching is 10+2, from which he or she can start with nursery and for middle classes too. For higher classes, graduation is needed along with Teacher Training Certification. For post graduation, one must clear National Eligibility Test (NET), which is conducted by University Grants Commission (UGC), India. Teachers can find jobs in various areas beginning with nurseries, play schools, primary or secondary schools, colleges, universities, Educational Research Institutes, etc. Teachers play a vital role in shaping young minds, especially when they are in nursery. At this age, children need special care and attention, which would help them in future. Teachers should have experience in dealing with kids 3 to 15 years of age.
