Biotechnology Jobs in India

Biology and technology combined together is known as ‘Biotechnology’. Biotechnology covers extensive varieties of subjects related to agriculture, biological chemistry, crop management, soil conservation, etc; Research in this area is wide and advancing in many ways as one finds more applications to it in life. People interested in biology and technology can study and research in biotechnology as it is perfect for those who want to progress in both areas. Now, numerous sectors have come up to meet requirements in science and technology. Biotechnology has its own branch, which is specialized and is attracting few students.

Awareness of Biotechnological institutes in India is increasing as career prospects multiply for students. India is already on par with developed countries in progress with biotechnology. As a result to this, there is massive scope for earning in biotechnological jobs in India. Advancement and growth are bright for those wanting to specialize. They also have chances to train abroad. Biotechnology jobs in India require a candidate graduated in this field. Salary is based on qualification and merit. Though, salary is not up to the level when compared to other sectors, growth is there for research and development. Government institutions hire biotechnologists for researches in many categories. There are well-known biotechnological institutes and organization throughout India. Some of them are: Department of Biotechnology, Rajiv Gandhi Center for Development of Education, Science and Technology, etc; India needs biotechnologies and the scope is immense in country, also abroad. Recently, it was estimated that 6000 expert biotechnologies are needed in India. The Human Recourse Development Ministry did this survey.  This itself illustrates the growing need and future of biotechnology jobs in India.
