The Yoga Teacher's Diploma consists of four units: Anatomy and Physiology, Stress and Relaxation, Yoga Philosophy, Health and Safety in Teaching and Practical Aspects of Teaching Yoga Postures. The Diploma can take between two to four years to complete. It comprises 200 hours' training and 300 hours' study time. Once qualified, teachers have to attend at least one qualifying In-Service Training Day per year. Teachers should hold a current First Aid Certificate. A yoga teacher should have be fit, patient and caring, have the ability to motivate the followers through good verbal skills and should be able to shoulder risks while exercising.
