Call Center Jobs in India

In the last five years most youngsters would have worked in at least one call center to get the power of money and sit in the luxurious work environment. Call center jobs in India have opened up many avenues for ambitious young turks. The revolution is spreading to other metros too. The work environment is somewhat different compared to other sectors. They provide better opportunities to undergraduates and undergraduates with high pay scale. It is the coolest place where one can chill while working even 24 x 7!

The main job is to answer customer calls- inbound and outbound. The types of calls are domestic and international. Inbound are incoming calls, where customers call for certain queries or issues regarding a particular product or services. Outbound calls are the calls, which are made by callers to customers for various reasons, which include bill payment, product launches, marketing, or follow-ups. Basic qualification to work in a call center is 10+. To start with a person is hired as a ‘Call Center Agent’. An agent has to answer calls of customers at odd hours of night depending on the shift system. Most domestic calls are during the daytime. The international calls depend on the time zone of the country or which one is hired. This job requires lot of patience, understanding, and ability to deal with irate customers who even abuse. Keeping a cool mind is one of the main aspects for a person working in a call center. Starting salary in a call center is Rs 8000/- depending on individual’s experience, education, and skills. Call centers include various processes such as finance, customer care, technical and non-technical processes. Technical process deals with all technical issues and non-technical deals with finance, customer care support, and customer queries. One can join a call center, if is ready to face challenge and working deadlines. They provide pick and drop facilities too for workers.
